Welcome to the radical new
world of RallyX! table tennis

Are you bored with the lack of competitive rallies when you get together for your weekly hit of table tennis with your mates?

If you too can't get satisfaction, read on!

Welcome

The root cause of rally-less table tennis is the serve.

No matter what standard you play, everyone has their tricky serve, their secret weapon that is designed to give them the immediate advantage over their opponent.

Trouble is, all this does is shorten the point and prevent enjoyable rallies from happening.

In our modified game we have virtually eliminated the serve and placed the whole emphasis on long, hard-fought rallies. Rallies that will stick in your memory, win or lose.

Semple Rallies

Rules overview

The serve is simply a means to begin a rally. One cannot score a point from a serve unless the opponent serves a fault.

A garage venue has two options as to how a rally point can be scored:

(1) A point is awarded to the winner of the rally after a set number of strokes have been played (minimum six recommended).

(2) The players judge subjectively as to whether the winner of the rally deserves to be awarded a point (our preferred method).

A clean winner should be rewarded with two points.

The traditional game of Fast 5! is played to five points with no advantage.
